Clerk of Records Operations Update

Posted on March 20th, 2020 at 12:17 PM

The Clerk of Records offices are closed to the public, except for matters that pertain and that are consistent with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Order earlier this week. Each office is maintaining skeletal staff until further notice. Therefore, you can mail or overnight documents/filing to each office. If you want confirmation of filing or recording, include self-addressed and stamped envelopes. E-recording is available for Recorder of Deeds documents.  All law firm courthouse boxes will be emptied and the contents will be mailed. For as long as the Sheriff’s staff is maintaining security at the 6th Street entrance, there will be a Clerk of Records drop box located at the 6th Street entrance that can be utilized for filing and recordings. Again, include self-addressed and stamped envelopes. Please do not forward any items for deposit into a law firm’s courthouse box.

As matters change, we will update this information.

David W. Bradford, Esq.
First Deputy Recorder of Deeds
