The Erie County Bar Association held its Admissions Ceremony yesterday for the Erie County Court of Common Pleas and the U.S. Federal Courthouse, Western District. Between the two ceremonies eight attorneys were sworn in. Congratulations is extended to all!

Jacob D. Fleming, who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Allegheny College, is the 2022 successful aspirant for the prestigious scholarship, administered and awarded for the Roberts Family by the Erie County Bar Foundation. Fleming, of Erie, will attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
ECBA member, Christine McClure received the prestigious Anne X. Alpern Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Women in the Profession Division on May 11.

News from the Third Judicial Circuit
The Courts, Community, and Rule of Law Committee of the Judicial Council of the Third Circuit announced today that it is hosting an essay contest for 5th and 6th grade classes focused on civics, citizenship, and the concept of the “Rule of Law.” The essay prompt is: “What does the Rule of Law mean to you and to our country?”
The ECBA’s Board of Directors has been following House Bill 38, possing an amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution that would create judicial districts for the purpose of electing judges and justices to Pennsylvania’s appellate courts.
