The Erie County Law Foundation is accepting applications for the Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial assistance to law school students from Erie County, PA enrolled in accredited law schools.

Erie County Law Foundation awards 2023 Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship

A future Erie County lawyer who will be attending law school in Pittsburgh this fall is the 2023 recipient of the Erie County Law Foundation’s Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship.

          Sydney Sherman, who earned her Bachelors Degree in Economics and Political Science, with a certification of Pre-Law, from Duquesne University this year, is the 2023 successful aspirant for the prestigious scholarship, administered and awarded for the Roberts family by the Erie County Law Foundation. Sherman, will attend Pittsburgh's Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University.

Fleming, who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Allegheny College, is the 2022 successful aspirant for the prestigious scholarship, administered and awarded for the Roberts Family by the Erie County Bar Foundation. The Courts, Community, and Rule of Law Committee of the Judicial Council of the Third Circuit announced today that it is hosting an essay contest for 5th and 6th grade classes focused on civics, citizenship, and the concept of the “Rule of Law.” The essay prompt is: “What does the Rule of Law mean to you and to our country?”
