SPEAKER

Kathy Serenko is a speaker and trainer in the areas of AI risk, efficiency, and governance. She helps law firms, construction companies, and members of professional and trade associations reduce exposure by equipping individuals to use AI responsibly. SEMINAR

Capturing the potential of AI’s efficiency requires both risk awareness and the practical skills to safely integrate AI into daily legal work. This two-hour course will combine instruction, group discussion, and hands-on skill development specific to legal applications. Learning will prioritize the mastery of a prompt engineering process that will optimize user input and positively impact AI responses. Through analysis of sanction-based scenarios and hallucinations, participants will learn:

  • Why AI-generated errors occur by design
  • Why sophisticated mistakes evade routine review
  • Why instances of AI hallucinations and errors continue to skyrocket
  • What risk management and ethical standards should be established

Takeaways will include a prompt engineering template, industry-specific prompts, and a risk-mitigation template. Participants are encouraged to bring laptops to fully engage in practical exercises.
