Erie County Bar Foundation
Formed in 1991, the Erie County Bar Foundation is a public
nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. It’s purposes include, but are not
limited to, promoting education generally, granting scholarships and
providing legal services to the poor.
Several of the Foundation’s programs are:
The
Chief Justice
Samuel J.
Roberts Scholarship Fund
- annually provides a scholarship to a first year law school student
who is a resident of Erie, Pa attending an ABA approved law school.
If grades are maintained, the student is eligible for renewal of the
scholarship for his or her second and third years.
Erie
County Court
House Projects
Fund - grants are considered when
in connection with historic Courtroom H. Funds may be requested to
pay for the continued maintenance of this historic Courtroom,
on-going restoration needs, improvements and technological
improvements.
Contributions to the Foundation are needed, especially to
continue growing the Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship
Fund principal. We hope you will remember the Foundation with
memorials and other donations.
