This CLE focuses on the evolving practice of juvenile delinquency law in Erie County. In the wake of the Luzerne County scandal, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court promulgated many new juvenile court rules effecting right to counsel, transfers to and from criminal court, adjudicatory hearings, and appellate practice. The presentation will highlight specific rules and forms necessary for competent representation of juvenile defendants. It will explore the roles of the prosecutor, juvenile probation, and the juvenile court judges. Ultimately, the seminar will offer strategies for navigating the juvenile court system and obtaining an optimal result for the juvenile client. Time will be allotted for a question and answer session.

Reservations are due to the ECBA office no later than Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
