Gear up to draft an ordinance
Learn from experienced practitioners the various types of ordinances and their appropriate applications.

Identify what enabling legislation is currently on the books
Determine how to find out whether there is a Municipal Enabling Code, and in what form that code exists.

Assure that you are prepared to execute standard procedural considerations
Do pre-enactment requirements exist? Do you have to advertise? Must there be a hearing? How is an effective date determined? Will the ordinance stand alone or be part of a codification? Our speakers will address these and other questions.

What do our speakers know that you should know?
Listen and learn as standard ordinance provisions, ordinance enforcement, constitutionality, interaction with other laws, and appeal of an ordinance are discussed.
